Full Front Yard Facelift - A Transformation Story

Every project has it’s journey. Today we are showing photos from different stages of the Redding front yard renovation, so you can see the process of transformation.

This was a major property remodel, including tearing up the old driveway, regrading the property, creating a new circular driveway, privacy wall, front entrance with retaining wall, and fresh landscaping.

We started with demo. This stage is messy! But it is often a necessary step in the process of property improvement. Fortunately, demo and excavation don’t take long. NOTE: Many people feel a bit of anxiety at this point, simply because it looks worse than ever, but getting rid of the old is key to your yard transformation.

Once the old concrete and debris is removed, we regraded the property. Another messy phase, but exciting, since you can see order emerging.

We then constructed the retaining wall by the entrance landing, poured the new circular driveway, and built the privacy wall. When you look at the photos, be sure to notice the brick privacy wall in the early stages of construction. The mortar looks sloppy when first applied! But again, this is part of the process. As you can see in the next photo, our brick wall is perfect once complete.

Lastly, we planted the landscaping, added mulch to the garden beds, and seeded the surrounding yard to begin growing a new lawn. We came back a week later to get some photos, and you can see the grass was already emerging.

We hope you enjoyed this photographic journey of the Redding project, and that seeing the process helps you feel more confident, and less anxious, when you are ready to start your project.
